The garden is definitely rounding into shape for the 2014 season. Of course, we have many of the usual vegetables including greens, potatoes, and carrots. We’re trying a few new things this year, too! We are growing sweet peas on our “teapeas” as well as the trellis. We’re experimenting with companion planting. Companion planting means we are planting certain plants in the same beds because certain pairings can help with pest control, pollination, and maximize the use of space. We have also added some native flowers, such as purple coneflowers, around the edges of the garden to add color.
